![]() Monday, 27th Oct 2008 09:32 Boss Jim Magilton says he has no concerns regarding his job despite the Blues' slow start to the season. The Town manager says he has an excellent relationship with club owner Marcus Evans and is critical of the negativity in some sections of the media. Magilton says he is "not at all†worried that he might be sacked and dismisses the recent negative coverage: "I believe whole-hearted in myself and the things people are saying and writing are embarrassing. "I've got a fantastic relationship with our owner and I know that if he wants to change things he'll look me in the eye and tell me so. Until then, I'll carry on doing my job.†Meanwhile, Owen Garvan says his time away with the Republic of Ireland senior and U21 squads have improved him as a player: "My international appearances [for the U21s and a fringe senior side] have definitely helped. "Playing for my country makes me very proud and getting those goals [three in the last two U21 games] has boosted by confidence. "I've also been involved in the senior set-up a couple of times and being around top quality players like that can only help me learn and develop. "I know my overall game has improved and, as a midfielder, I always want to chip in with goals. It's my duty and I'll always have a pop whenever I get a chance. "The fact both of them were right-foot efforts was just a coincidence. It's not something I've worked on in particular, although as professionals we're obviously practising things like that all the time.â€Â
