No Further Charlton Interest in Campo
No Further Charlton Interest in Campo

Boss Jim Magilton says Charlton's interest in midfielder Iván Campo has gone no further than last week's informal enquiry after the Addicks drew 1-1 with the Blues at Portman Road. No other side has asked about the former Bolton and Real Madrid man.

Magilton told the club site: "After a game, we are always chatting to the opposition about players and we did the same with Alan Pardew and [assistant manager] Phil Parkinson after the Charlton match.

"A number of players came into the conversation and Iván was one of them, but there has been no real interest in the player from Charlton or any other club.

"He is very much part of what we are trying to achieve here anyway and even though he has found it difficult to get into the side, he is still having an influence at the club.

"The young players are learning from him all the time in training. He's a quality player and he's only an injury or suspension away from being involved again in the first team."
