![]() Thursday, 6th Nov 2008 18:37 Boss Jim Magilton has confirmed that released former Drogheda central defender Graham Gartland has been training with Town, as revealed by TWTD earlier today. Gartland was first linked with the Blues by the Irish press at the end of last year. Magilton says Gartland was at the club last week having left the Eircom League club who are going through serious financial difficulties: "Graham is someone we have been aware of for a while. He has impressed a lot of people in Ireland and Charlie Woods watched him play for Republic of Ireland B alongside Alex Bruce. "When the unfortunate situation came up involving Drogheda we took advantage and asked Graham over for a look. He spent a few days with us last week and did very well. "He showed a good attitude. It was an opportunity to have a look at him, but that is as far as it has gone at the moment.†As previously reported, Gartland is available on a free transfer but would not be able to join the Blues until January.
