![]() Tuesday, 11th Nov 2008 16:34 New loan signing Darren Ambrose says he is delighted to be back with the Blues and is aiming to turn his temporary move into a permanent switch. Ambrose joined Town on a two-month spell on Monday, as first revealed by TWTD on Saturday. The midfielder told the club site: "I'm delighted to be back here. I had the best part of my career at Ipswich. I grew up as a youngster at the club and when the chance came to come back here, I jumped at it. "The club is on the rise and when you look around the squad you have to believe that promotion is a possibility here. "There are some top quality players here and a top class manager as well. I know how determined the manager is to get this club back into the Premier League. "I'm here on loan until January, but I'd love to make it a permanent move. I feel I have unfinished business here after leaving so early in my career and I want to fulfil my potential at the club. "I've got two months to show the manager that I'm worth keeping here. It's down to me." Town have paid an undisclosed loan fee to Charlton for the 24-year-old with a terms of a permanent deal already agreed if the Blues want to complete Ambrose's signing in January. The former Newcastle man is out of contract with the Addicks next summer.
