![]() Friday, 5th Dec 2008 09:09 Legendary Town boss Sir Bobby Robson has had good news from doctors as he fights cancer for the fifth time. Cancerous nodules were discovered in 74-year-old Robson's lungs in May 2007 and he is undergoing chemotherapy. The ex-England manager said: "I am fighting my illness and I have just recently received some good news about my health and treatment. "I have responded so well to recent treatment that the cancer has not progressed.†Robson says he hopes to make a trip to Portman Road again soon: "Travelling is difficult for me these days and I have to always be assisted and chaperoned, however, I hope in the near future I can visit my beloved Ipswich Town.†Robson's current battle with cancer is his fifth. In 1992 he overcame bowel cancer then and a mouth cancer three years later. In May 2006 he underwent surgery when a tumour was found on his lung after a skiing accident. Three months later Robson had surgery to remove a brain tumour which was revealed by tests after the former England boss was taken ill at the Blues' opening game of the 2006/07 season against Crystal Palace.
