![]() Thursday, 10th May 2001 09:35 Town have confirmed that Georgi Ivanov is amongst a number of players they are looking at. Stories in Bulgaria are suggesting that Town have put in a £5 million offer for the Levski Sofia player, however the Blues are not saying that things have gone this far. Town communications director Alesha Gooderham said: "We have a number of people at home and abroad looking at players all the time. There will always be speculation with Scouts spotted at certain games, but that just shows how hard they are working and how much ground they are covering." Keith Branagan will miss the Derby game as he is off for an operation. The Town second string stopper has the same hernia problem as Richard Wright and it has been decided to operate on Branagan first on May 21st. Mike Salmon will sit on the bench for the Derby game with Wright waiting until later for his op. Earlier this week there was speculation that Branagan might become a target for his old club Bolton. Town will fly off to Majorca for a four-day break tomorrow ahead of the Champions' League last day deciders. The trip to play the Charleston Battery in the US was postponed due to the effects of jetlag on the players. Town's final opponents, Derby County, are also off for a holiday. They are nipping over to the Channel Islands.
