Danny Haynes has signed a one-year extension to his Town contract. The striker or midfielder, who turned 21 on Monday, will now be with the Blues until June 2011.

Haynes, who joined the Town academy at 16 after being released by Charlton, told the club site that he is pleased to agree the new deal: "Obviously I'm delighted to have signed a new contract here.

"I feel I am making progress and have been working hard on my all round game with the coaching staff. I know I need to find more consistency, but the manager has said that will come with work on the training ground and with games."

Haynes has made 40 starts and 77 sub appearances for the Blues, scoring 19 goals.
