Gills Want to Keep Peters

Gillingham boss Mark Stimson says he hopes to keep Town winger Jaime Peters on loan at the Priestfield Stadium beyond his initial one-month spell. Peters, whose month ends next weekend, has impressed for the Gills in his one start and two sub appearances up to now.

Stimson says he is keen that Peters and Arsenal youngster Rene Steer remain with his play-off challenging League Two club: "We're going to speak to the lads next week about that to see if they're happy with what's going on.

"They seem happy in training and if we can keep them for another month I'd love to. Jaime's someone who adds something different to the squad.”

Peters, who is contracted to the Blues until the summer of 2010, hasn't featured for Town since January 2008.
