Jim: No QPR Approach for Shumi
Jim: No QPR Approach for Shumi

Boss Jim Magilton has denied yesterday's reports claiming that QPR had made a loan enquiry regarding midfielder Veliche Shumulikoski, however, the Town manager says he may allow the Macedonian to leave on a temporary spell to get some first team games under his belt.

Magilton told the club site: "QPR have not made an approach for Shumi, but letting him go out on loan to get some games is something that we may consider.

"It would depend on the club and whether it was right for us and right for the player.

"Shumi has spoken to me about the situation and I fully understand his frustrations. I've been in the same situation as a player myself, all you want to do is play games.

"He has his international career to think about as well. He's very proud to play for his country and doesn't want to put that at risk by not being involved at club level.

"Although he has not been in the side over the last month or two he has been in every squad and remains a very important part of the playing staff here. I've told him that, and that he is only an injury away from being back in the team."

Shumulikoski was linked with a permanent move to Fulham in December and again in January.
