Town have confirmed that left midfielder Luciano Civelli is out for the rest of the season with the knee ligament damage he suffered in last night's 1-1 draw with Burnley. The full extent of the injury should be known next week.

Physio Matt Byard told the club site: "Luca has had a scan and there is some ligament damage but it's not clear to what extent yet.

"The knee is very swollen and we will know more when it's settled down and he's had more scans and that won't be until some time next week.

"We will be speaking to a specialist and planning his recovery, but we won't put any timescale on a return until we have more information on the damage to the knee.

"The injury is extensive enough though for us to rule him out for the rest of the season."

Civelli spent last night in hospital with physio Byard and team-mates Iván Campo and Pablo Couñago staying with him until the early hours.
