![]() Thursday, 19th Mar 2009 13:08 Keeper Shane Supple says he is delighted to have joined Oldham Athletic on loan for the rest of the season. The Irish U21 international will make his debut for the Latics when they take on Tranmere at Boundary Park on Saturday. Supple said: "Joe was on the phone to Jim Magilton on Sunday night looking to take me up to Oldham after taking the job in the afternoon. "I think he wanted to get the deal done as quickly as possible and I'm absolutely delighted to be able to join him again. "Richard Wright has been in fantastic form at Ipswich and as number two I wasn't getting a look in - now I'm hoping to do well at Oldham. "I know everyone looks up to Joe here because of what he's achieved in the past and he gave me my chance as a youngster at Ipswich. "I'm glad he hasn't forgotten about me and I want to repay him by doing the business here." Supple, who is out of contract with Town at the end of the season, has been joined at Boundary Park by former team-mate Ian Westlake, who signed on loan from Cheltenham earlier today. Meanwhile, Town have made two of their full-time academy coaches redundant, although at least one is expected to remain working at the club in a part-time capacity. The move will not see a reduction in the number of academy teams or age groups.
