![]() Friday, 20th Mar 2009 19:56 Argentinian midfielder Luciano Civelli will undergo exploratory surgery within the next fortnight to determine the extent of his knee ligament injury. The former Banfield man is out for the rest of the season with the problem suffered towards the end of the Burnley game. Physio Matt Byard told the club site: "Luca's knee is still very swollen and we will wait for that to settle down before we operate. "He will have an exploratory operation in the next two weeks and the surgeon will then have more of an idea of the extent of the injury. "Scans can only show so much so we don't have an overall picture of what's wrong and the way forward. That will become apparent when he has the exploratory operation and we will then be able to gauge a timespan for his recovery. Nothing can be confirmed until surgery." Jordan Rhodes will also go under the knife next week to repair his broken metatarsal. The 19-year-old is expected to be out for six weeks after sustaining the injury during Brentford's 1-0 home defeat to Chesterfield earlier this week. Meanwhile, Town are one of 41 clubs to have given the Football League Family Excellence Award for 2008/09 in recognition of "the truly outstanding experience they provide for young fans and families at their groundsâ€Â.
