Defeat for Supple on Oldham Debut
Defeat for Supple on Oldham Debut
Saturday, 21st Mar 2009 18:57

Shane Supple made his Oldham debut as Joe Royle's side crashed 2-0 at home to Tranmere. Former Blue Ian Westlake also made his Latics bow as Supple was given no chance with a powerful volley and a penalty.

Elsewhere, Liam Trotter was used as a 67th minute sub as Scunthorpe defeated Brighton 2-0 at Glanford Park.

Iron boss Nigel Adkins says he's keen to extend the midfielder's loan into a second month, however, Town are less likely to want to continue the arrangement with Trotter yet to make a start and generally having made very fleeting substitute appearances during his time with the Lincolnshire club.

Young left-back Kurt Robinson played the full 90 minutes as Rushden drew 1-1 at Salisbury.

Chris Casement and Dan Harding were left out of the Wycombe and Reading sides respectively.

Billy Clarke's latest loan side Brentford are in action on Monday at Dagenham and Redbridge on Sky Sports One (7.45pm), while Jai Reason and Cambridge weren't in action this week.
