Boss Jim Magilton felt his side lacked a "killer touch" as the Blues drew 0-0 at home to Watford. The game also saw the Blues lose three more players to injury.

Magilton said: "It was two points dropped. I didn't like much of what I saw in the first half, but we gave it a real go after the break.

"We had chances and their keeper made a couple of good saves, but we lacked that killer touch in front of goal and that has dogged us at home all season.

"We lost players through injury and that meant we couldn't get Kevin Lisbie on. Pablo and Steady ran their socks off, but we just couldn't get the breakthrough we needed.

"It's obviously getting harder to get in the play-offs for us, we are running out of games. We will keep going until it's mathematically impossible, but I won't let the season peter out anyway. There is still plenty to play for, we are a work in progress at the moment."

The Town manager says the club were cautious with Giovani Dos Santos after he suffered an injury early on: "Gio complained of a groin injury early on and couldn't carry on.

"He's not our player, being on loan from Tottenham, and we have to be careful with him and it's possible his injury came because of his lack of games.

"David Wright has a hamstring problem and we will have a look at him next week."

Tommy Miller left the field with a dead leg in the second half. With two weeks before Town's trip to Sheffield United, all three could have regained full fitness in time for the game at Bramall Lane.

Watford boss Brendan Rodgers was pleased with the point: "We had to show some real qualities that you need to show when you come to a good side away from home.

"As the game went on it become more of a counter-attacking game, so you're defending that little bit deeper, that's how the game goes sometimes.

"But I still felt that on the counter-attack we looked dangerous in some of our combinations in and around the edge of the box.

Rodgers had special praise for keeper Scott Loach: "He was fantastic, it is one where I want the young players to feel as if they're improving.

"But for Scott today his kicking wasn't very good! However, he made saves and he had eight shots against him in the second half and he produced some wonderful saves."
