![]() Friday, 3rd Apr 2009 08:35 Boss Jim Magilton has confirmed that the Blues are starting a renewed search for a left-sided midfielder now that Argentinian signing Luciano Civelli has been ruled out for 10 months with a serious knee ligament injury. Civelli joined Town from Banfield for just over £1 million in January and impressed until succumbing to the injury. Magilton said: "We will be making moves to try and get another one in. These things happen in football. There's so much more to come from Civelli and his attitude and his work ethic suggest we have something in the kid. That won't disappear. "His parents are over, his brother Renato, who plays for Marseille, was over and he comes from a very strong family background. We know he's going to get the support he needs and we'll have him back brand new again. "But that's not going to help us in pre-season with what we want to do, so we'll be looking to bring someone else in. Someone with a left foot and there aren't very many of them around.†Civelli's signing marked the end of a long hunt for a left-sided midfielder. Last summer, Rudi Skácel almost signed from current crisis club Southampton for £1 million, FC Köln's French winger Fabrice Ehret revealed that Town had approached him, as did Málaga midfielder Javier Calleja Revilla, while former Barcelona trainee Nano spent time on trial.
