Clarke Nets Again for Brentford Saturday, 11th Apr 2009 19:24 Billy Clarke netted the second goal of his loan spell at Brentford to grab the League Two leaders a last gasp 1-1 draw against an Exeter side including Marcus Stewart. Earlier, the Republic of Ireland U21 international had missed a penalty Clarke made amends for having his spotkick stopped by Grecians keeper Paul Smith, a player the Blues have watched this season, by slotting the ball home from David Hunt's cross in the 89th minute. Stewart lasted only 20 minutes of the match before being replaced, while another former Town striker, Richard Logan, was on the Exeter bench. Elsewhere, Liam Trotter was briefly in action for Scunthorpe on Friday as the Iron lost 2-1 to Huddersfield, ex-Town midfielder Gary Roberts scoring the winning goal. Trotter came on as an 81st minute sub. Shane Supple is still to gain his first win with Oldham, the Latics drawing 1-1 at Carlisle on Friday. Jai Reason was an unused sub as Cambridge beat Eastbourne 2-1 this afternoon, the midfielder having carried an ankle injury in recent weeks. Kurt Robinson played the full 90 minutes for Rushden and Diamonds as they beat Kettering 1-0. Dan Harding was again not in the Reading 16 as the Royals lost 1-0 to Sheffield United yesterday and is still to have any involvement with Steve Coppell's side since making his loan move to the Madejski Stadium in January.
