![]() Thursday, 21st May 2009 08:39 Town are in talks regarding a second Irish pre-season game at Limerick. According to reports in Ireland, the as yet unconfirmed match against the FAI First Division side has been pencilled in for Friday 17th July. That date may be subject to change with Limerick in league action the following day. Town are already set to play Cork City on the following Sunday, although again this is still to be confirmed by either club. Rumours in Ireland suggest a match in Dublin against Shamrock Rovers may also be under discussion. The proposed Limerick game could be played at rugby side Munster's Thomond Park as part of a four-team competition. Other first team friendlies already organised are a game against Charlton at the Valley on Tuesday 28th July, a trip to Southend on Wednesday 22nd July, a visit to Brentford on Wednesday 15th July and the Fabian Wilnis testimonial at Portman Road against Colchester on Saturday 25th July. A Town reserves side will travel to Hadleigh United for a pre-season game at their Millfield ground on Wednesday 8th July.
