Hull Fortune Hunting?

Hull City want to scupper any chance of former Manchester United man Quinton Fortune joining the Blues, according to reports in various tabloids this morning. Tigers boss Phil Brown is said to be keen to take the South African to the KC Stadium.

Town manager Roy Keane, who knows Fortune well from their time together at Old Trafford, is understood to have offered the 32-year-old a pre-season trial at Playford Road.

Fortune, who these days plays mainly at left-back, is available on a free transfer having left AFC Tubize after their relegation to the second tier of Belgian football. Birmingham City are also reported to be keen to take a look at the ex-Bolton player.

Elsewhere, released Leicester defender Patrick Kisnorbo has turned down the chance to join Australian side the Melbourne Victory. The central defender has been linked with Town and Crystal Palace on a number of occasions.

Sheffield United have been linked with out-of-contract Celtic midfielder Paul Hartley, who is also claimed to be a Town target. However, according to a report yesterday, Hartley is set for a move to Greek side Iraklis.

Meanwhile, Marcus Evans's horse Suffolk Punch runs in the 4pm at Wolverhampton today. In its first outing earlier in the month the two-year-old, one of four recently purchased by the Town chairman, finished third. If you fancy a flutter, free bets are available here.

Further to yesterday's story regarding Cork City tickets, the game is expected to sell out, so supporters are advised to buy their tickets well in advance of the match. Seats go on sale here at 10am this morning.
