Scottish League Division One side Dundee have confirmed that they have signed released Town defender Chris Casement, as reported by TWTD on Friday. The Northern Irishman, told he had no future with the Blues last month, has signed a three-year contract at Dens Park.

Casement, 21, made seven starts and seven sub appearances for the Blues without scoring, having come through the academy at Playford Road. The Belfast-born central defender or full-back was a member of the 2005 FA Youth Cup-winning side.

Last season he spent time on loan at Hamilton Academical and Wycombe Wanderers, having failed to make an appearance in a spell with Millwall in 2007.

While with the Blues, Casement won one full Northern Ireland cap, one at B level and appeared 14 times for their U21s, scoring once.
