![]() Tuesday, 30th Jun 2009 22:30 Swansea City and Plymouth Argyle are reported to be interested in signing Town striker or midfielder Danny Haynes. Haynes, 21, failed to score a single league goal last season - although he netted twice in the Carling Cup tie with Leyton Orient - and was unable to win himself a regular place in the Town side. In January, the former academy player signed a new contract with the Blues aimed at keeping him at Portman Road until 2011. Both Argyle and the Swans are said to be looking for additional strikers over the summer and moves for Haynes could be on the cards. Meanwhile, we understand that there could be further changes to Roy Keane's backroom staff as the Town manager continues his preparations for 2009/10. At the end of last week Antonio Gomez became the club's new fitness coach working alongside Simon Thadani, who is already employed in a similar role. Earlier in the month, Simon Hunt left his job as international scout, while chief scout Steve McCall, specialist skills coach Steve Foley, goalkeeper-coach James Hollman and head of football development Bryan Klug remain at the club from Jim Magilton's time as manager. Elsewhere, former Town keeper Kelvin Davis is on the verge of joining West Ham United on a free transfer from crisis club Southampton. The ex-Wimbledon man is reported to have undergone a medical at Upton Park.
