![]() Wednesday, 1st Jul 2009 14:23 This week's Naked Sports Show, ICR FM 6-6.30pm, features the National Hot Rod Championship of the World and Spede Weekend at Foxhall Stadium, Ipswich this weekend (4th and 5th July). It's fairly well known that National Hot Rod World Champion Carl Boardley hails from just outside Ipswich, but up-and-coming youngster Jay Austin is also from Ipswich and is also in the final this weekend. Phil P and The Vulture chat to Jay about his chances and the gruelling 75-lap main event. Terry Newell, the DJ from Foxhall and Portman Road, is also in the studio to chat about the weekend and hear about The Vulture's on-going campaign for the theme to Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em to be played whenever an opponent scores an own goal at Portman Road. Other subjects that (may!) be discussed include the annual saga of a Brit at Wimbledon and should England fans really support the current best British hope, Ipswich Town's continued lack of action in the transfer market and the impending Ashes series as it draws ever closer. Listeners are more than welcome to add their comments on these matters and suggest other topics by emailing nakedfooty@icrfm.co.uk before the show or studio@icrfm.co.uk during it, or by text during the programme via 07797 800712. If anyone wants to appear as a guest on a future show, send us an email. The Naked Sports Show runs through the summer on ICR FM, can be heard in the immediate Ipswich area on 105.7FM and has an eclectic array of programmes, which include almost any style of music you can think of promoting local bands and musicians, as well as morning and magazine shows, in addition to foreign language programmes in Polish, Portuguese, Cantonese, Farsi and Hindi. If you're not in the Ipswich area, the show can be heard live online at http://www.icrfm.co.uk.
