![]() Wednesday, 8th Jul 2009 10:26 TWTD reader Sam Page says he is delighted that the club have taken up his suggestion of a student price concession on coach travel to away games. Sam, an A-level student at Stowmarket High School, recently wrote to chief executive Simon Clegg to suggest the introduction. Sam told TWTD that he welcomed the club's decision: "I am glad the club have chosen to look at the situation and I am glad they have changed the pricing scheme for away travel. I believe as a result of this I and many others will be able to travel to away fixtures. "I thought the change needed to be made as I will still be in full-time education at Stowmarket High School doing my A-levels with no monetary income and I would not have been able to afford to go to any away matches at all as I could not afford adult price tickets. "I didn't see why I should have to pay full adult prices if I am still in full-time education. Other people are also in my situation and if the club want younger fans to be able to travel to away matches then the prices needed to be lowered. Therefore I wrote a letter to Simon Clegg about the situation.†Ticket office manager John Ford confirmed the pricing amendment: "We have changed the pricing on coaches for next season. The concession price, which was just for over 60s previously, will now include under-20s and students (over-20 and in full-time education). "The change is partly to rationalise our pricing policy, but also we took into consideration comments from some of our younger supporters.â€Â
