![]() Friday, 10th Jul 2009 09:25 Striker Jordan Rhodes says he would consider rejoining Brentford on loan this season, but at the moment he is concentrating on getting in the Town team. The Blues play Rhodes's former loan club in a friendly at Griffin Park next Wednesday (KO 7.45pm). Rhodes said: "A loan is a possibility, but I'm not really thinking about it. If I did then Brentford would definitely be my first choice. "The club will always hold a special place in my heart, and I'll look out for their results. Hopefully, I'll go back and play for them one day, but it might be when I'm 35 or 36." The 19-year-old says he has been told he is in with a shout of first team football with the Blues, as long as he shows the right attitude: "Roy has told us all we will get a chance if we put the work in. I'm just concentrating on keeping myself fit, and hopefully I'll get a chance in the first team." Rhodes helped the Bees to the League Two title last season and has said he wouldn't celebrate scoring a goal against them, even in next week's friendly. Prior to the trip to Brentford, a Town XI is in action at Gorleston on Saturday afternoon (KO 3pm). The team will be made up of reserves and U18 players with the first team squad currently away on a five-day camp in Portugal.
