Priskin Deal Done
Priskin Deal Done
Thursday, 6th Aug 2009 22:34

Town are understood to have completed the signing of Watford striker Tamás Priskin for a fee believed to be £1.7 million plus top-ups. TWTD was first to break the news of he Blues’ interest in the 22-year-old last Thursday.

Earlier this week, Priskin’s agent József Vörösbaranyi confirmed that the Blues had made an offer for the frontman, believed to be in the region of £1.2 million, which the Hertfordshire club turned down. However, Vörösbaranyi indicated that he felt a deal would ultimately be done.

Priskin was at Portman Road for a medical this afternoon and to discuss personal terms, putting pen to paper on a three-year deal with an option for a further season.

barmyarmy, i read the Times championship prediction and it had Sheff Utd top, Newcastle 17th and us 7th but made the admission that absolutely anything could happen this year - therefore completely defeating the point of the article in the firat place! There seems to be a longer list of those who are realistic promotion contenders this year than those who are not.

Roll on Sunday!! CANNOT WAIT!

got the potential to be a quality signing, keanes squad seems to be taking shape, majority of the signings have been young which is a good sign, team can now mould together, maybe not this year but next year we WILL be a force at this level

BrightBlue - it's not a bad effort, but surely this is Steve Foley's department!!!!!!

Just seen Arsene Wenger with Babs Windsor on Sky Sports News.... If we want to mix it with the big clubs, then why not RK with Olive from On the Buses or Steve McCall with Paula Wilcox from Man About The House or Marcus Evans with Tessa Wyatt of Robin's Nest. Come on Ipswich Town - get a grip!

At last some morale boosting news as I was feeling a bit flat. Love the goals Priskin scored especially the chipped efforts. Would still like a massive centre back (not Shittu now past his best) possibly another striker and like most people would love Gio. I think we are dreaming but is there anything in the Geo stories ? Come on you Blues.

Being in Aus its difficult to see alot of games to guage the quality at this level, but from the video linked in this thread - that guy looks very classy.

I think pairing him with stead walters could be quite profitable.

well done RK, bring on Sunday :)

Perhaps those moaning buggers will shut up now. I was getting seriously hacked off with all of them and the season not even kicked off yet.
Keano knows what he is doing as does Marcus and Clegg so just get ready to enjoy the football and the fact we will be putting a whole division between us and those budgies up the road come May 2010.

Good signing! Reminds me of a certain Marcus Stewart! Hopefully will do as well as he did and we got Priskin for less money :)

I am hoping we can pull off the Gio signing as well, my heart says yes my head says no.

COYB!!

Been trying to think, did Watford play a 4-3-3/4-5-1 like Keane's been trying? I can't think of anyone Priskin played up top with in the second half of last season, so if I'm right in hoping he's already accustomed to what seems to be our new formation, this could turn out to be a very classy piece of business.

sky sports tonight had town at 8 to1 to get promotion was very sort odds, will get shorter now with a decent striker in place
