Town are understood to have completed the signing of Watford striker Tamás Priskin for a fee believed to be £1.7 million plus top-ups. TWTD was first to break the news of he Blues’ interest in the 22-year-old last Thursday.

Earlier this week, Priskin’s agent József Vörösbaranyi confirmed that the Blues had made an offer for the frontman, believed to be in the region of £1.2 million, which the Hertfordshire club turned down. However, Vörösbaranyi indicated that he felt a deal would ultimately be done.

Priskin was at Portman Road for a medical this afternoon and to discuss personal terms, putting pen to paper on a three-year deal with an option for a further season.

I can't think of anyone Priskin played up top with in the second half of last season, so if I'm right in hoping he's already accustomed to what seems to be our new formation, this could turn out to be a very classy piece of business.
