Friday, 28th Aug 2009 14:18

One lucky TWTD reader can win a copy of Dan Botten’s new book Ipswich Town Miscellany: Blues Trivia, History, Facts and Stats every day this week. Dan’s latest book is published today.

Ipswich Town Miscellany, which has a foreword by former Blues skipper Matt Holland, covers the essential stories, trivia and obscure facts from throughout the club's history.

TWTD regular Dan has followed Town for more than 20 years and has written about the club for numerous publications including The Observer Sport Monthly, The Irish Times, Shoot! and World Soccer.

If you don’t like competitions or aren’t feeling lucky, Ipswich Town Miscellany is available via TWTD at the bargain price of £6.99 here. Dan’s previous book, Ipswich Town: On This Day, is also available via TWTD at the same price here.

To win Friday's competition, answer the question below correctly, email that answer here along with your postal address before midnight and be the lucky person whose email is selected at random. The competition is only open to those in the UK.

In June 1969, future Town winger Mick Lambert appeared as 12th man for England at Lord's in a Test Match. Who were the opposition?

a) West Indies b) Australia c) New Zealand

The winner of Thursday’s competition was Andrew Readett, whose email was selected at random after he correctly told us that it was an electric razor belonging to Sir Bobby Robson that was stolen from the away dressing room after a 1-0 defeat at Leicester City in March 1972.
