![]() Tuesday, 7th Aug 2001 10:14 New keeper Andy Marshall will miss the pre-season games in Ireland and is now doubtful for the start of the season. Marshall is suffering from a back strain and is due to see a specialist. George Burley said: "Andy will miss the trip to Ireland which is a shame as he needs games, but he will stay home to have treatment. It is a worry, especially for the beginning of the season, but we will see how he progresses." Jim Magilton, Mark Venus, Tommy Miller and Pablo Counago are likely to take some part during the tour. Town play Dublin City (previously known as Home Farm) this evening at Tolka Park. They play Bray Wanderers on Thursday. Town are still waiting to hear back from Finidi George after the Nigerian returned to Spain to speak to Real Mallorca with a view to sorting out a few details. Mallorca may now put Finidi in the squad for their Champions' League game on Wednesday. George Burley said of the situation: "We are still waiting to hear back from Finidi who has tried to sort things out in Mallorca. Obviously we would like an answer as soon as possible and to get everything arranged."
