Kennedy Move Edges Closer
Kennedy Move Edges Closer

Cardiff left-back Mark Kennedy is understood to have undergone his Town medical last night ahead of his £75,000 switch to the Blues. The clubs agreed the fee late last week with the 34-year-old now believed to be talking personal terms with Town.

Striker Kevin Lisbie appears likely to be the next current squad member to move on with Millwall discussing a loan switch with the Blues.

Owen Garvan continues to weigh up whether to join Crystal Palace in a £225,000 deal, while Alex Bruce’s move to Sheffield United is still up in the air. The central defender agreed personal terms at Bramall Lane at the weekend but the clubs are yet to conclude the terms of the deal which would see the Irish international become a Blade.

Striker Jon Stead was reportedly expected for talks at Bristol City yesterday with the Blues and Robins understood to have agreed a £200,000 fee, while Jon Walters may also join the Portman Road exodus with QPR and Stoke having targeted the Town skipper.

Elsewhere, former Blue Jermaine Wright, 34, has joined Ryman League Premier Division side Croydon Athletic having left Blackpool a year ago.

In the good old days a player was signed before you really knew about it. The Ipswich way. Nowadays with the need for instant information. Any inkling of a player starts way before anyone has even talked.

With regards to the defender, is it me or has this dragged on for weeks. or is it just days with no news. So we get excited over the fact that he has had a medical.

Please go back to the good old days of news when it is and not speculation. Okay we are interested in players. Let me know when they have signed and not before because this is what is causing the problems.

Lack of news being played out as news when in fact it is not. heresay and rumour.

Give me news and nothing less.

Remember the day when we invaded the pitch and called for Lyall and McGivern and the Board to Foxtrot Oscar? Well, those days are about to make a reappearance with the current band of muppets.
