Two Target Meekings
Two Target Meekings
Tuesday, 19th Apr 2011 22:28

TWTD understands that released academy central defender Josh Meekings is interesting League Two Torquay United and SPL side Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

The Bury St Edmunds-born 18-year-old was told his time with Town was up a fortnight ago, along with fellow second-year scholar Rory McKeown, a Northern Ireland U19 international defender.

Caley Thistle are managed by Blues legend Terry Butcher, formerly the central defensive partner of Meekings’s Town U18s coach Russell Osman.

Blues striker Ronan Murray, who has been offered a new one-year deal by boss Paul Jewell, is on loan with the Gulls until the end of the season.

Really, aejb? I'm sure there's others, like myself, who are interested to know where our youth end up going to.

Good luck to the lad.

Aejb-what a pointless comment. If you find it so hideous then why bother commenting? You should keep your negative opinions to yourself!

Always nice too see somebody get a start. Even more so when its a youngster. Not pleasant when a person losses their job. You never know 1 or 2 may prove pj wrong and make a good living out the game

Good luck in the future anyone who knows anything about football will know stupid comments and cliches get pulled out at times like this. But sometimes hard work and ability are just not enough and you need to move on its the same in any line of work. Go and show everyone what you can do and don't look back.

Hmm, top division of the awful Scottish league but with Terry Butcher or the third division of the decent English league - very tough decision...!!
