Blues chief scout Steve McCall was spotted at Brisbane Road this afternoon watching Leyton Orient beat Peterborough United 2-1.

Town boss Paul Jewell was previously seen running the rule over Posh a day after being confirmed as manager at Portman Road in January.

Peterborough striker Craig Mackail-Smith and midfielder George Boyd were the most likely targets, while keeper Joe Lewis has also been linked with a switch to a higher division.

Very good to see pj looking at cheap up and coming stars better than what keano did already, we should have a great season next year if Marcus Evans coughs up some money to buy these players. We need a striker who can shoot properly that's the ultimate factor we have lacked this season and everybody knows it.
