![]() Wednesday, 1st Jun 2011 09:44 Our competition to win one copy of On a European Journey: With Ipswich Town in Europe 1962-2002 by David and Philip Houseley, the new book which charts Town’s overseas exploits and the fans' journeys to see them play, is now over. The winner was Kevin Knights, whose email was drawn at random after he correctly told us that Trevor Whymark scored four goals in the 5-0 defeat of Landskrona BOIS in September 1977 (not Lazio as some people said, that was in 1973). If you’re not Kevin and want a copy of the book, you can buy it for £16.14 from TWTD’s Amazon link here. Meanwhile, the winners of our earlier competition to receive five pairs of tickets to Monday’s UEFA Cup celebrations were Kieran Hills, Dan Botten, Marisa Francini, Andrew Thomas and Sam Stannard. Their names were drawn at random having told us that John Wark scored 14 goals during the Blues' 1981 UEFA Cup run.
