Scum Apologise to Town
Scum Apologise to Town

Norwich City have apologised to Town after their scoreboard proclaimed the legend "Manchester United 1, Scum 0" at the weekend. City aim for a family image with the club giving free tickets to schools amongst other things. The term 'Scum' apparently is not in keeping with this.

Budgie chief executive Neil Doncaster said: "We are most embarrassed and upset having worked hard to foster good relations with Ipswich Town. We take the incident very seriously. We will be conducting a full internal investigation and will take the appropriate action".

Presumably Delia Smith's recent comments describing Town's backroom set-up as "a mess" are also part of their attempts to "foster good relations."
