![]() Tuesday, 25th Sep 2001 00:14 It looks likely that Wimbledon manager Terry Burton will be contacting George Burley regarding Wayne Brown's availablility, as he continues to impress during his loan period. Even though the defender is only halfway though a month loan, he has done enough to spark interest from the Don's chief who said "Wayne has done very well for us since he came two weeks ago. If Ipswich's price to us is realistic then I would be interested". Town are not in a position where we need to sell, but if Wayne felt that a move was in his best interests, Burley would probably not stand in his way: "If he was keen to go then we would look at it but if he isn't then that would be the end of it. We are more than happy to keep him." Town do have a number of options in this area, but with the defence causing some concern maybe Wayne would get his chance in the Premiership, especially after his impressive showing at the Selhurst Park club where he will have been watched.
