Fans' Fury at Ticket 'Scam'
Fans' Fury at Ticket 'Scam'

A number of fans have written angry emails to Town this morning after several other supporters claimed that they had 'illegally' gained tickets for the Helsingborgs away match.

It was claimed that they had obtained tickets via the outsourced Call Centre without an Away Match Passport. Tickets for the Swedish leg of the UEFA game went on sale this morning at 10pm to Away Match Passport holders only.

Midway through the morning it was claimed on the TWTD Message Board that the Call Centre were failing to check-up on whether fans were Away Match Passport holders or not and that tickets had been gained. Others later confirmed that they had done the same thing.

However, Richard Powell, Town's Customer Service Manager told TWTD that there had not been a problem: "When our Call Centre sells a ticket they are printed out for dispatch within our ticket office and being an unbelieving so and so I personally have just taken at random 20 tickets and checked every single one and they are all AMP."

He also stressed the importance of being seen to be keeping up the priority system: "It is very important for us to stick with any priority we publicise so I will always investigate any suggested anomalies that are brought to my attention."

Although the tickets went on sale this morning the club doesn't actually have them as yet. They will be sent out later in the week. Fans will be hoping that the game is played in good weather as Blues supporters will be without a roof at Helsingborgs.
