Jewell Happy For Peters to Stay at Bournemouth Monday, 17th Oct 2011 10:35 Blues boss Paul Jewell says he’s happy to extend Canadian wideman Jaime Peters’s loan at Bournemouth beyond its first month. Peters has been with the Cherries since September 22nd. Jewell said: “I spoke to [Bournemouth manager] Lee Bradbury on Friday and they want to extend Jaime’s loan. I’ve no problem with that, he’s playing football. I’m quite happy to extend Jaime’s loan.” Peters made his fifth appearance for the League One side in Saturday’s 2-2 draw away against the MK Dons. The 24-year-old is one of three Town players on loan at present. Midfielder Jamie Griffiths is in his second month with Plymouth, while Andy Drury joined Crawley for three months in early September. TWTD understands that the Red Devils also tried to sign Town central defender Tommy Smith on loan at the same time but the New Zealand international, whose Blues contract is up next summer, turned down the switch and Crawley instead loaned ex-Town defender Tom Eastman from Colchester. Smith is one of a number of players the Blues are currently keen to send out on loan along with the likes of Shane O’Connor, Jack Ainsley and Ronan Murray.
