![]() Friday, 13th Jan 2012 08:57 Swindon boss Paolo Di Canio says his club have made Town an offer to sign on-loan striker Ronan Murray on a permanent basis. The Irishman's spell on loan at the County Ground is up on Saturday. Di Canio said: “I want to buy him and the offer is a fair amount of money because he is a young, talented player. “If we can go through with the money we have offered already we will be very happy and he is happy here. We will see after the Rotherham game [on Saturday].” Speaking earlier in the week when a further loan was mooted, Murray said he'd like to extend his time in Wiltshire: “I’d like to stay. I am playing first team football and the last month and a half has been brilliant - playing games every week. “I have enjoyed every minute and it is a brilliant club. There are not many more clubs in the country you would want to be at with all the headlines Swindon are getting." The 20-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has scored two goals in four starts and five sub appearances since joining the Robins in November. Photo: Action Images
