Scotland a Doubt for Leeds
Scotland a Doubt for Leeds
Monday, 16th Jan 2012 15:34

Town boss Paul Jewell says the Blues will have a greater idea of the extent of striker Jason Scotland’s hamstring injury tomorrow with the Trinidadian likely to be a doubt for next weekend's game at Leeds. Scotland limped off in the second half of Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Blackpool with the injury which is a different problem to the one which saw him miss games earlier in the month.

Jewell told the club site that this is the other hamstring: "It's not a recurrence of that injury, it's the other leg.

“With hamstrings, you need a good 48 hours before you can really assess the extent of the injury. We will have a look at Jason tomorrow and take it from there.

"You have to be careful with hamstring problems though, so obviously he has to be a concern for us ahead of the Leeds game at the weekend."

Pettitt10 A bit of contradiction here. Surely Murray has indicated that he is happy to go to Swindon. As per your rules he shouldn't be in the team???

Jas0999 - I agree that Scotland has been one of our better players. Although the past few seasons he has been disappointing and not worth the money. It is only because Jewell has got him performing (and is also getting Martin to play well). Good management so credit where credit is due??!! Or do you just want to keep seeing things in a negative miserable way, and constantly try and pick faults?

Leeds sunk again as our new striker will be here by then (CB, RB, LW and CF all signing Thursday) - don't panic!

A well thought out and well reasoned post. Any more like that?

You could be good at man management

New commenter here, hi all.

Scotland has become our most consistent performer this season, and after a shaky start seems to be making the most effort, full credit to him. In my opinion, giving JET and Chopra some games and allow them to get a goal or two can only work wonders. Heavens knows what will happen once Priskin begins to start games..

VanIsleBlue - Craig Forrest (New or Dean) in goal surely, Clive Woods (like Forrest!), on left wing
