Shaunminx. Surely, by buying a season ticket and only going when you can you would still be better off. Rather by going when you can and paying more than us cheap skate season ticket holders.

Ipswich fans always have to moan about something, I am a season ticket holder and think it is about time the club tried to offer special ways to bring back the missing fans. I am not a supporter of Clegg but we are all Ipswich fans who ever is in charge and to hear the crowd singing at the end of last nights game was music to my ears.Many season ticket holders did not attend last nights game thinking the worst, the reward of watching a decent game and getting the offer of watching the Burnley game for £20 is just reward.

I am a season ticket holder of many years standing because i can afford the price of one.
I have no problem with price reductions, times are very tough for a lot of people at present, the club should go further and charge £10 a ticket, it is better to sell a seat for £10 that have that seat empty.

I hear what you're saying but its the cost of it to start with. Yes I know you can spread it over x amount of time but maybe it's just me but if I don't have the money for it there and then then I'll not get it whereas if I've got enough to go when I can I will! Sounds daft I know.

I am a season ticket holder and outraged by this. Not only do I travel 2-hours to get to a game, but now people who didn't bother getting a season ticket are getting whopping discounts - something I thought season ticket holders got for commiting to every home game? Next season I urge all season ticket holders not to renew and then pick your games for much cheaper prices. ABYSMAL.

Clegg and the club seem to be reqarding those who don't commit to every game - ignoring the season ticket holders. This is it for me. I am finished with the club.

PHIL - please could you pass on comments to the club. Although not all season ticket holders will agree, could you ask the club how they are going to reward those who year on year find a large outlay to commit to every game. Thanks.

p.s. I am NOT against casual fans as I appreciate people have work commitments etc. BUT there appears to be a lack of thought to those who have purchased season tickets. Rewarding those other than those who year on year buy season tickets is SHOCKING.

why are season ticket holders so outraged with this? They are only bringing the prices level down to what you pay per match and it's only for a couple of games not the entire season. There are also plenty of good deals for season ticket holders with young kids such as £10 for Under 11s in family areas for a entire season which is a pretty good deal! They should offer more deals for season ticket holders, such as free entry to home cup games or free food + drink. But at least these deals are a start and it might attract more fans into the ground, especially those who cannot afford to go regularly due to the usual high prices!!

couldn't they give season ticket holders a voucher for planet blue or something like that?

The bottom line to all this is the club want to make as much money out of as many people as they can. Clegg couldn't give a stuff whether you are a ST holder or not. Once they've got ST money they can do what they like to prices to entice others. I appreciate some can't make every match so it wouldn't make sense to buy a ST it just pisses me off when you get people turn up with cheap tickets when I have forked out a wedge in advance and we get nothing for it. Not even free entry to friendlies or Carling Cup matches.

@jas0999

Add up how much it would have cost you to attend all home matches this season at matchday prices (including the odd discount) and subtract the cost of your season ticket.

The figure you're left with, which will be around £200, is the discount that you get for being a season ticket holder. This is how the club "rewards those who year on year find a large outlay to commit to every game".

Fair enough mate,at the end of the day we are both supporters of the same team. Everyone's situation is different and you show your supporter when you can.

I love having my season ticket and save all year to afford it. I live in Newark, Notts and have a jolly day out with my long suffering Dad for home games. Get more fans into the ground every game and see the difference it makes. We all have different reasons for how we support the club, just so long as we DO support the club.
time for another happy pill. PS I don't work for ITFC.
