![]() Tuesday, 6th Nov 2001 09:54 The mayor of Helsingborg has praised Town supporters for their behaviour in her town during their stay last week. Although there were a couple of arrests in Copenhagen, Helsingborg itself had no trouble at all. Previous English visitors, Chelsea and Aston Villa, had both created havoc in the town and there had been fears amongst locals that the same thing would happen again. But, despite Ipswich taking far greater numbers, these were unfounded. Mayor Karin Wredstrom said of Town supporters: "They were very good and we have no complaints at all. They behaved very well. It was a busy couple of days and I'm sure many of our traders will be very happy. We have had some problems in the past but that was not the case with Ipswich Town supporters, they will always be welcome back in Helsingborg." She went on to add that she had enjoyed the game and admitted that the best team won.
