Gordon Taylor has announced that the players have voted in favour of industrial action. 92.7% members of the union voted which is unprecedented in any dispute.

The yes vote was 2290 while at 22, less than 1% voted no.

Taylor was flanked by Barry Horne, Brendan Batson and a number of other PFA at a press conference at the Stanley Room of the Midland Hotel in Manchester.

The action will take the form of strikes at games covered by TV cameras. Town's match with Bolton is unlikely to be affected.

Taylor asked for "A fair and equitable share for the Players' Association." The PFA are after 5% of Premiership TV revenues.

Town chairman David Sheepshanks has once again spoken on the subject today urging the sides to come to the table for the sake of the "game we all love."

He seems to have got his wish with Taylor announcing that the FA Premier League have been in touch and that there will be a meeting next week.
