It is reported that the incident after yesterday's game involved no Town players. Apparently during the West Brom warm down things became unsurprisingly heated and Jason Van Blerk and Alan Miller came to blows. An ITFC steward tried to intervene and received a thump for his troubles. The police then became involved and questioned all participants, but no arrests or charges were made. The steward didn't want to bring charges against the Albion players.

West Brom have said they will deal with the matter internally whilst Town have said they are happy that the matter is being dealt with. Not a great day for the Baggies eh?

David Johnson is a doubt for the Fulham match on Boxing Day. The striker injured his ankle when pulled down for what looked like a penalty. George Burley said of the incident "It was a very nasty knock on his ankle which he sprained just as he was about to shoot. We thought it was a penalty."

Johnson will also miss the Port Vale game after reaching five bookings. Neil Midgley has now emerged as the favourite to take his place after his promising Town debut yesterday.

Town are reported to have FC Twente midfielder Pascal de Vries on trial. He is 22-years old and was in the squad for the Dutch side's visit to Portman Road in July but didn't play.
