![]() Tuesday, 20th Nov 2001 12:05 Former Town striker David Geddis has joined his old bosses Bobby Robson and Charlie Woods at Newcastle United. The 43-year-old has joined the coaching staff at St James' Park on a three-month contract. Geddis was previously youth coach at Middlesbrough but lost his job when Steve MacLaren came in as manager at the Riverside. The man who laid on Roger Osborne's 1978 FA Cup-winning goal will be working with Robson and first team coach John Carver. Robson said of the appointment: "We are very pleased to have added David to our team of coaches at St James' Park. I have known him for over 25 years and am sure he will do a very good job for us."
