Barnett, Chambers and Hyam In For Forest Clash
Tuesday, 27th Nov 2012 18:57

Town boss Mick McCarthy has handed Tyrone Barnett his Blues debut and has recalled Luke Chambers and Luke Hyam to the side taking on Nottingham Forest at Portman Road this evening. Michael Chopra, Danny Higginbotham and the injured Nigel Reo-Coker drop out.

Chambers returns against his old club, having missed the 1-1 draw with Peterborough on Saturday, in place of Higginbotham, another ex-Tricky Tree, alongside Tommy Smith.

Hyam will be alongside Guirane N'Daw in the centre of midfield with Barnett up front with DJ Campbell.

The Forest starting line-up includes ex-Blues Danny Collins, who is wearing the armband, and Dan Harding, as well as one-time Town target Billy Sharp. Full preview here.

Town: Henderson, Orr, Chambers, Smith, Cresswell, Edwards (c), Hyam, N'Daw, Martin, Campbell, Barnett. Subs: Loach, Hewitt, Higginbotham, Drury, Emmanuel-Thomas, Murphy, Chopra.

Nottingham Forest: Camp, Hutton, Ward, Collins (c), Harding, Gillett, Cohen, Guedioura, Lansbury, Blackstock, Sharp. Subs: Darlow, Moussi, McGugan, Reid, Moloney, Coppinger, Ayala.

I'd predicted that under Mick we'd be out of the bottom three by Christmas. Well, he's done that with nearly a month to spare. I don't want the talk now to be about 'avoiding relegation'. Too negative. I want the talk to be about climbing as high as we can.
