Reading Midfielder Tabb Linked
Wednesday, 6th Mar 2013 14:19

Town are reported to have made a loan enquiry regarding Reading midfielder Jay Tabb. The 29-year-old is out of contract at the Madejski Stadium in the summer and will not be offered new terms.

The 5ft 7in tall Tooting-born former Ireland U21 international hasn’t featured in the Premier League since December and has previously been mentioned in connection with a move to Blackburn.

Town are said to want the ex-Coventry and Brentford man to initially join on loan with an eye on the switch becoming a full-time deal in the summer.

The Blues recently signed Manchester United’s Reece Brown, who is also out of contract in the summer, on a similar basis.

short term deal yes but not a long term solution, the type of squad player we need but not the answer to our lack of creativity in midfield, hard working, industrious and energetic but doesn't score goals (5 in 312 games)would be a useful addition as a squad player though

I was at Loftus Road in november, and watched QPR-Reading. Tabb was MOM, so I would be well pleased with him joining Town. But hey, Alex McCarthy played a blinder also, so it was clearly a strange match;)
