Ramadan and Ireland Lose

Academy scholar Cemal Ramadan was in the Republic of Ireland U17 side which lost 3-0 to Slovakia in a friendly in Bratislava this afternoon.

The striker, a first-year scholar, had the ball in the net in the first half but the goal was ruled out for offside.

The Irish youngsters face the same opposition in another friendly on Thursday.

Republic of Ireland U17s: James Talbot, Dominic Bernard (Nathan Benson 70), Jack Tuite, Danny Kane, Anthony Breslin, Robbie Duggan (Derek Daly 41), Anthony Dolan, Kyle Scott (Tom Holland 55), Shane Elworthy, Cemal Ramadan (Jessie Devers 70), Nathan Corkery. Unused: Evan Osam, Shane Whelan, Evan Moran, Malike Benrougguibi, Georgie Poynton.
