McCarthy Wants to Keep Tunnicliffe
Wednesday, 18th Sep 2013 12:49

Boss Mick McCarthy says he’d like to keep on-loan Manchester United midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe at Portman Road for the whole season. The 20-year-old, who has started the last three games, is currently due to remain with the Blues until January.

McCarthy told BBC Radio Suffolk: "Hopefully, if he's playing every week, he'll want to stay. I know he's enjoying it and he looks like he is because he's playing well.

"Tunners is great. I'm really, really delighted with him. I think he's a real talent and we're lucky to have him."

So far, Tunnicliffe, who has two years left on his Old Trafford contract, has made three starts and three sub appearances for the Blues.

The only thing I would change from Tuesday is Carlos for Wordsworth. I'm afraid he just didn't look to be at the races and their young winger left him for dead at times. I would also like to see Taylor (if fit) I still recall his first couple of games when he looked to be the real deal - then he got injured and seems to have become the forgotten man.
