PLC AGM Tonight
Thursday, 5th Dec 2013 10:28

Joint-managing directors Ian Milne and Jonathan Symonds and manager Mick McCarthy are expected at tonight’s PLC AGM in the Sir Bobby Robson Suite (7.30pm).

The trio will answer questions from shareholders in the PLC, which owns 12.5% of Town and consists of the club's shareholding prior to the takeover six years ago. Marcus Evans owns the other 87.5%.

Amongst the resolutions to be put to the vote at the meeting - which is open only to shareholders or their proxies - will be the appointment to the PLC board of Milne and Symonds, former chief executive Simon Clegg and board member Martin Pitcher having resigned over the course of the last year.

Ex-club director Roger Finbow is the current PLC chairman, while Supporters Club chair Elizabeth Edwards, former club chairman John Kerr and one-time board members Philip Hope-Cobbold and Richard Moore are the other directors.

Used to get financial highlights of the football club distributed with the PLC's Accounts;but these stopped a couple of years ago. This made for more interesting reading as PLC virtually dormant although has twelve and a half per cent stake in ITFC.
Would have thought in view of this that shareholders of Ipswich Town PLC would be given the courtesy of a summary of whats been going on at club and don't understand why it stopped.
Noticed in sheets we did get of 2009/10 and 2010/11 that over £3m a year paid in interest(over £9.5m in 3 years).
Presumably the bulk of this is going to Mr Evans?
