Town Unchanged at Forest
Saturday, 14th Dec 2013 14:07

Boss Mick McCarthy has named an unchanged side for today’s game at Nottingham Forest and looks set to stick with the 4-3-3 formation employed in last week’s 2-1 victory over Huddersfield.

Town include former Forest men Luke Chambers and David McGoldrick from the start, while Paul Anderson is on the bench along with Scott Loach, who was with their academy. Ex-Blues left-back Dan Harding starts for the home side.

Striker Paul Taylor didn't make the trip, due to illness, while young right-back Elliott Hewitt is sidelined with an ankle injury.

The Blues will be looking to record four wins on the trot for the first time since January 2012 and win at the City Ground for the first time in 14 years. Full preview here.

Nottingham Forest: Darlow, Halford, Lascelles, Hobbs, Harding, Chalobah, Mackie, Lansbury, Reid (c), Abdoun, Cox. Subs: De Vries, Lichaj, Jara, Paterson, Majewski, Derbyshire, Henderson.

Town: Gerken, Chambers (c), Berra, Smith, Cresswell, Skuse, Hyam, Tunnicliffe, Murphy, Nouble, McGoldrick. Subs: Loach, Mings, Tabb, Hunt, Edwards, Anderson, Graham. Referee: Scott Mathieson (Cheshire).

It would be great to see us in the Play off places tonight, after struggling at the bottom for so many years. It would also be a fitting tribute to Mick McCarthy who took us from relegation candidates to possibly as high as 4th tonight in just 13 months. Come on you blues!

Best of luck lads. A win today and the table would be a pretty sight. The draw in the Leicester Burnley game keeps the automatic spots within reach for alot of clubs including us.

Langdon_Blue- 4th Place (Derby ) are 5 points above us would love to see us go above them somehow tonight, on the other hand we have to stop and be proud of the achievements of the squad so far where most of the comments lately have been about getting in to the play-offs the only way is up COYB !

jrebrooklands - what can I say, I aimed for the 5 and hit the 4 by mistake....I knew I shouldn't have asked Chopra to teach me how to type. I think you follow my point, regardless...
