Marriott and October to Stay Out On Loan Wednesday, 1st Jan 2014 06:02 Boss Mick McCarthy says striker Jack Marriott will again go out on loan, either to a Football League club or current side Woking, when his spell with the Cards is up on January 2nd, while left-back David October can remain with his current club Histon in the Skrill North. Marriott has scored nine goals in nine games for the Skrill Premier side and McCarthy would ideally like him to step up a level or two, although wouldn’t comment on whether Town had received any interest from any Football League clubs. “Jack won’t be coming back and neither will Rocco if he wants to stay and play because he might as well,” the Town boss said. “Jack, I’ll be honest, he’s fairly ripped that [division] up. I’d like him to get a Football League club but if that’s not the case, I’ll be on to Woking, I need to speak to them and he can stay there but we’ll see. If nothing happens he’ll just extend his loan.” October, like Marriott a 19-year-old first-year pro, has made 12 starts for the Stutes, the club he was with before joining the Blues academy. Both Marriott and October play the final games of their current spells today, at Salisbury and at home to Boston respectively. McCarthy confirmed that Ryan Tunnicliffe, whose loan from Manchester United has been extended until the end of the season, is available for Saturday’s home FA Cup tie against Preston.
