Foley to Return to Norwich as First-Team Coach
Thursday, 22nd May 2014 23:30

Town academy coach Steve Foley is set to return to Norwich City as new manager Neil Adams’s first-team coach. Like Adams, whose appointment was announced this afternoon, Foley will sign a three-year contract.

Foley, 60, previously worked at Carrow Road in a number of roles between 1996 and 2006, during which time he coached his new boss, having initially been brought to the club by Mike Walker.

After his Norwich contract as Nigel Worthington's first-team coach was terminated following the 2005/06 campaign, Jim Magilton added the former Colchester United stalwart to his Town staff in a specialist skills coach role.

Foley left the Blues in 2010 during Roy Keane’s time as boss but was brought back to the club by academy director Bryan Klug as a youth development coach in the summer of 2012 working with 12-16-year-olds.

Last season he was also coaching part-time with Ryman League Division One North Needham Market.

Congrats on your promotion Steve. Why wouldn't he go.Am sure will be on good money, and we all have to live.

If he wasn't going to our neighbours up the road,I am sure some of comments on here would be kinder.

Am pleased for Towns sake that Malky Mackay didn't get Managers job though.
