Fulham McGoldrick Offer Claim Sunday, 25th May 2014 09:10 Fulham are targeting Town striker David McGoldrick, according to reports.
The recently-relegated Cottagers, who on Friday released nine players, are planning a swoop for the Blues' 26-year-old 16-goal top scorer, reported Saturday's Irish Sun.
According to The Sun on Sunday the Londoners are reported to be ready to make an offer of £2 million, a figure which is unlikely to tempt the Blues.
McGoldrick, who was understood to be interesting Crystal Palace and Swansea in January, signed a two-year-old contract last summer having been released by Nottingham Forest, but it’s understood that that deal also included an option for a further season.
The Town frontman, who revealed his qualification for the Republic of Ireland earlier this year, will be back in action in pre-season having been sidelined since February with a knee injury.

TimmyH Agree entirely with your comments re Derby. The play offs are the modern day equivalent of the Roman Gladiators. It is going to be hard for their players and fans to get over that disappointment any time soon. It will be a long summer for them and will inevitably affect their start to next season. Yet again the 3rd best team in the division ends up disappointed while a lesser placed team over a season of 46 games walks off with a trophy and medals as well as the Premiership riches. Is it fair?

On the strength of their performances against us QPR are a better team than Derby. We got nothing off QPR but 4 (should have been 6) off Derby. From our point of view it is better to see QPR out of the Championship as they would continue to throw ridiculous amounts of money at promotion ( and get away with it despite FFP)

26 year old would have been 20-25 goals, you can buy him by all means but don't unsettle our players with poxy time wasting amounts, both creswell and mcgouldrick are worth 5-6 mil, bid properly or don't waste our time

Re: QPR. So they have been promoted and there is nothing the Football League can do except hit them with a fine. (£50m) by some reports). But as QPR are no longer a member of the Football League the only way to get this fine off them is by a long and protracted battle in the courts. (Great if you are one of the solicitors involved!). If FFP is going to work then the penalties for transgressing the rules need to be severe. The Premier League should exclude anyone from being promoted in to it who failed to abide. (Ain't going to happen). The Football League should impose an 20 point suspended penalty. So that should QPR come back down ever they start the new season on -20 points. (Can't see that happening either). So the FFP should be scrapped! Teams with rich benefactors will continue to ignore the rules and get away with it. We are no longer playing on a level playing field.

Wouldnt think he'll move , BUT sh*t happens ,as weve seen in the past.I think if Goldy had been fit and played full season we would have made playoffs at very least. If we did sell i would be very P'd off.

It makes a change for other clubs to be linked with our players once again,as it means we are making progress. However this wont continue if we sell our best players;so would like MrEvans to issue a statement pointing out that ITFC intend keeping their best players, and add one or two to enable the Club to make a stronger challenge for the Premiership in the forthcoming season. We can but dream!!!

Get real people, at most Championship clubs, and ours included, every player has their price, and if someone comes in with the right offer, and it wouldn't be anything like some of the figures being mentioned on here, the offer is likely to be accepted. However, as he is under contract, he cannot be forced to leave, so I also doubt that Fulham would have enough to interest him. Any Premier club? Well we will see what happens if any reasonable offers are made. And by reasonable I would guess at between £2 to £3 million with agreed add-ons. And don't expect MM to get all the funds for his war chest - I reckon he'd be lucky to get 50% frankly. Ah well, here we go again!
